Vintage ceramic bell - hand painted Pacific Stoneware pottery chime

Founded in 1874 in Portland, Oregon, Pacific Pottery and Stoneware had the first “pot machine” and “clay washing” facilities, and in 1915 they claimed to manufacture more flower pots than all other coast plants combined. Stoneware is distinct from ceramic ware in that the bisque-firing temperature is higher and creates a sturdier finished product.
