Hedley Fitton (1859-1929), was an English engraver and printmaker noted mainly for his architectural etchings. His etchings included street scenes and important cathedrals in London, Florence, Edinburgh, and Paris. In 1907 the Société des Artistes Français awarded Fitton a Gold Medal for his work.*
A Talio-Chrome is a color gravure print utilizing a simple RGB pallet. The colors are separated photographically and printed through the use of a line screen so small it creates the illusion of continuous tone.
